What exactly IS Ecclesia Domestica?

Ecclesia Domestica allows homeschool families to form their children's faith at home, and have access to
the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation without attending a Catholic
school or RCIA.
 

Is this program for every family, or just for those with children making their sacraments?

This is for any Catholic family that supports homeschooling; those home educators that are supported by
their home parish or not, and those in full-time or part-time school. This program is a supplement to
home education and does not replace at-home learning.

Do you provide a curriculum?

Our program is meant to enhance the Catholic education you’re providing for your children at home.
There is a curriculum for First Communicants and Confirmandi that will be used during the meetings, but
there is no take-home curriculum. That said, there are lots of great resources for home education, and
our board can provide you with a list of our favorites.

What about my children that are not making sacraments this year?

Each family meeting will include a teaching session where the non-sacrament children will be
lead by a parent. We are using the Theology of the Body curriculum by Ruah Woods Institute.

What will I be doing while my other children are in sessions?

The parents and children from infant to 6 years of age will spend time in the nursery for some fun and games, and get to socialize with other families.

Can I drop off my children for the meeting without attending?

All children should be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, sponsor, or other guardian over the age of
18. No drop-offs are allowed at this time.

What is the cost to join?
There is no membership fee, but there will be a *$25/student (minimum) or $75/family (maximum) supply fee. This will cover the supplies and materials fee, snacks, and rental. *Scholarship is available for a qualified family.
